Notes on photos:
The time when the eclipse started was approx. 13:00. The full eclipse was at 14:23
The reason why the colors are different is that two different colored filters were used.
Large lens is 500 mm, smaller lens is 200 mm
The shutter speed setting with the sun filter is 30-60, without the filter (during the full eclipse) is 1.1 sec. on long exposure setting.
No filter is used for the last 9 photographs
ECLIPSE RESULTS
1) Mission accomplished! Seeing is believing!
2) It does not get fully dark until the last thin strip of light is hidden away (until picture # 13) Then, it get dark in about 2-3 seconds.
3) Stars come out during the full eclipse, but the horizon is not dark!
4) Birds stop singing.
5) The sun rose from the west for the first time!
6) Clouds become red when the full eclipse is over, just like the sun rise (even though the sun was at the top of the sky - with minimum atmospheric effects)
7) Birds start to sing again.

Other results:
1) 1154 km traveled in total 14 hrs of driving.
2) Been able to see a beautiful landscape: Karadeniz (Black Sea) region of Turkey.
3) 57 good shots of photographs out of 74.
4) Had the opportunity to see the hospitality of the Turkish villagers.

Losses:
A flat tire, unusable - had to buy a new one!
Lots of cash! Well worth it!!!!

Next mission is accomplished!!!!
